Open Door Health Center Opportunities

 

Open Door Health Center (ODHC) is expanding!  ODHC ’s vision is to meet the health care needs of the low income and underserved in Southern Minnesota.  We do this by offering quality care that is culturally sensitive for our diverse community.

ODHC, a newly identified FQHC (federally qualified health center), currently serves 3,000 patients and plans to expand.  We offer the following opportunities:

·         Medical Director:  Your responsibilities include selection and management of provider staff; design and implementation of responsive programs; leadership of quality measurement and improvement initiatives; support of collaborative referral partnerships; and provision of direct patient care. The ideal candidate will be a B.C. family physician (OB optional) with a minimum of 5-7 years direct patient care experience and a previous leadership role.  An MPH, MBA or other advanced management education preferred. Fluency in Spanish a plus. This position reports directly to the Executive Director as part of the executive management team. The ability to work as a physician and think like an executive, while supporting the mission, vision and values of ODHC are essential. 

 

·         Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant:   As a NP/PA you will be an integral member of our provider team, providing quality primary care in a culturally-sensitive manner to our diverse patients.  Masters degree preferred with a minimum of 1-3 years of experience with family practice. Fluency in Spanish a plus.

 

·         Administrative Assistant:  Seeking a full-time administrative assistant to support the Executive Director.  Your responsibilities include writing reports and submitting data for purposes of regulatory oversight; preparing information for Board meetings; handling calls and filing.  Must be comfortable with technology and data.

Nurse Practitioner

West Side Community Health Services, the largest community clinic in MN, is seeking a compassionate Nurse Practitioner to work 24 hours/week during the 42 week academic year with our Health Start program. Health Start, a national award winning program, provides comprehensive, interdisciplinary health care for adolescents in nine St. Paul public high school clinics and adolescent/OB services at the East Side Family Clinic in St. Paul. · Provide holistic nursing and health and medical care to adolescents and diverse populations.

· Diagnose and manage acute episodic and chronic illnesses, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention.

· Gather subjective and objective health information, make assessments and develop, implement and evaluate treatment plans with clients.

· Conduct and interpret laboratory tests and prescribe pharmacologic agents and non-pharmacologic therapies.

· Teach and counsel individuals and groups.

Qualifications:

· Masters degree required.

· Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program.

· Active MN RN license.

· Prescription writing privileges/DEA Licensure.

· Minimum one year Nurse Practitioner experience with maternal/child health, adolescent health and/or OB/GYN preferred.
